DevOps Engineer | Azure

Position Overview
An industry leading, growing tech-enabled service provider based in the Denver Tech Center area is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their cloud infrastructure team. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in cloud-native environments and enjoys building secure, scalable infrastructure while streamlining developer workflows. You will work hands-on across Azure and Kubernetes platforms, automating deployment pipelines, elevating observability, and helping transition the organization toward a self-service platform engineering model.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain robust CI/CD delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitOps tools like ArgoCD.
- Provision, scale, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments.
- Author and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Package and deploy containerized microservices using Helm and Kustomize.
- Build internal developer platform tools, golden paths, and reusable templates to foster self-service engineering.
- Advance telemetry and observability systems using Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Datadog, or Prometheus stacks.
- Enhance pipeline security, standardization, and compliance governance across development teams.
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents, support system reliability, and participate in on-call rotation.
- Utilize AI-assisted productivity tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, LLMs) to streamline troubleshooting and automation workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Systems, or Cloud Engineering.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud architecture and Kubernetes/AKS administration.
- Demonstrated experience constructing pipelines with GitHub Actions and deploying via GitOps principles (ArgoCD or equivalent).
- Proficiency in IaC methodologies with Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Familiarity with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration workflows.
- Scripting ability using Bash or Python.
- Exposure to modern monitoring and logging stacks (Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus).
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and collaborative communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience contributing to internal developer platform (IDP) initiatives or developer experience (DX) tooling.
- Familiarity with legacy workloads or Azure Service Fabric transitions.
- Exposure to service mesh technologies (Istio), ingress routing (Traefik), or policy engine tooling (Kyverno).
- Multi-cloud exposure (such as GCP).
Compensation (depending on experience):
- DevOps Engineer (2-4 years): $120,000 - $140,000/year + bonus potential
- Senior DevOps Engineer (5+ years): $145,000 - $165,000/year + bonus potential
